David Rodda graduated from Melbourne University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts.

Following time with Donovan and Howard, David joined Oakley Thompson & Co in 1991 and since that time has gained extensive experience in the area of corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on corporate governance, disclosure and compliance, managed investment schemes, due diligence, commercial leasing, franchising, intellectual property and IT law.

In particular, he has built a strong reputation in the area of corporate fundraising, and has undertaken a significant amount of work on behalf of corporate clients undertaking Initial Public Offerings, particularly companies operating in the foreign investment, mining and biotechnology sectors.

David also possesses significant experience in the managed investment scheme (MIS) sector, and has worked closely with a range of boutique and mainstream fund managers in undertaking due diligence, verification, regulatory and compliance work for both retail and wholesale product offerings.
